Nexus One

This past week I received my precious Nexus One phone.

It's the phone that Google put out.  It is sold "unlocked", so you can use it with any provider.  Previously, I had an Android-powered phone, the HTC Magic, with Rogers.  I loved it.  The only real issue I had was that, despite newer releases of Android coming out, Rogers holds you back.  For example, Android is currently up to version 2.1, but my Magic was running 1.5, with no solid confirmation from Rogers as to when they were going to release the update.  Rogers released an Android phone last month that's running 1.5 and promise that they will update it to 2.1 "in the 4th quarter of the year".

With the N1, since it's a true Google phone, I'll get all the updates as they happen.  Dig this from today's news.  Sweet.

One of the apps that's really impressed me is "Google Goggles".  Check out what it can do...

Crazy man, crazy.
